MBP is pleased to announce the promotion of Joseph Modica, PE, CCM, to Vice President, Service Executive, and James Yatzeck, PE, CCM, PSP, LEED AP, to Vice President, Service Executive.
“Both Joe and Jim lead and support numerous company initiatives and are always looking for ways to enhance the client experience,” says Christopher Payne, PE, CCM, President and Chief Executive Officer. “I know their leadership will continue to advance MBP’s position in our industry as both take on increasingly substantial roles in support of our Building Services and Transportation service lines.”
Joe Modica joined MBP in 2009, following several years focused on design, and quickly became a key player in winning and managing primarily transportation-related work throughout the localities in southeast Virginia. Joe was Operations Manager for our Chesapeake office and later served as our first Area Manager in that part of Virginia. Earlier this year, Joe joined the Transportation Service Line as a Service Executive and has supported the development of MBP’s transportation services to include resiliency and water/wastewater specialties. As Vice President, Joe will offer further leadership within the service line as we serve an evolving market in horizontal construction management and further expand our geographical presence of these services.
Since joining MBP in 1997, Jim Yatzeck quickly became a schools construction management specialist, as one of the first MBP team members to support our longstanding relationship with Arlington Public Schools. Jim later continued to serve local municipal, state, and federal clients throughout the Tidewater Virginia area and ultimately managed our Chesapeake office. Following MBP’s reorganization in 2018, Jim moved into a Service Executive role in the Building Services service line. As Vice President, Jim will continue to support the service line and will take on an increasing leadership role, as MBP broadens our capacity to support further growth and client development for building construction management services.
“We are very proud of this well-deserved promotion to Vice President for Jim and Joe,” says Don Young, PE, CCM, F.SAME, Executive Vice President, PM/CM Practice Leader. “They are great leaders and engineers, who make a positive impact on a daily basis with our clients, teaming partners, and the MBP team.”
