MBP, a leading, multi-disciplined construction consulting firm announced that after 30 years, MBP’s Chairman, Charles E. Bolyard, Jr., CCM, PSP, CFCC, and Chief Executive Officer, Blake V. Peck, PE, CCM, will transition from their company ownership positions at the end of the year.
Bolyard and Peck will continue to remain involved in operations of the business in reduced roles focusing on client project work, strategic planning initiatives, client relationships, and mentoring.
This transition, which will take effect December 18, 2020, has involved years of planning, training, and development to allow for the smooth evolution of our existing leadership team while continuing to focus on well-defined, long-term strategic goals, the growth of our team members, and meeting the changing needs of clients.
“This represents the culmination of nearly a decade of careful planning to ensure that the right leadership team is in place to continue MBP’s track record of success,” said Bolyard. “We are excited for the next phase of MBP’s ownership and continuing to provide long-term value to our team members, shareholders, clients, and partners.”
“Since Charlie and I formed MBP 30 years ago with Frank McDonough, one of our primary goals was to build a company we would want to work for even if we didn’t own it, and now we have the opportunity to do so,” said Peck. “The timing is right for this transition as the company is well-poised for continued growth. I have the utmost trust and confidence in our leadership team, as we continue to shape and innovate MBP, to advance its position in our industry.”
