MBP is pleased to announce the firm will assist the Commonwealth of Virginia with construction inspection services for the National Football League (NFL) Washington Redskins new Training Facility.
“It is an honor to work on this high-profile project, and we look forward to our firm having a positive impact on this project and the area’s economy,” says Duncan Stewart, PE, Richmond Branch Operations Manager.
The $10 million project involves the construction of the new Washington Redskins Summer Training Camp Facility on 17 acres in Richmond, Virginia, which includes an office building with staff offices, classrooms, locker room, two large practice fields, one small drill field, and parking areas.
The new facility, which will host the Redskins’ three-week summer training camp, is estimated to bring in a $40 million investment to the area, in addition to hundreds of new jobs. The facility will be open year-round and will be used to offer health resources to the community.
