MBP provided on-site construction management and observation services for this significant project. This three-story, 51,000-square-foot building provides a central location for many of the City’s most critical communications and emergency operations functions. The building houses the offices of emergency management and emergency operations center, 911 city call center, emergency communications center, department of information technology data server room, and staff and support areas. The project also provided restricted parking for approximately 140 vehicles and 60 visitor parking spaces.
“The City of Chesapeake appreciates MBP’s support in delivering this state-of-the-art building and assuring it will be a key facility for the Hampton Roads region for years to come. From the initial constructability review through substantial completion, it was a pleasure dealing with MBP professionals on this project. Your team was attentive to our needs, realistic and candid with your advice, and always willing to go the extra mile in all phases to ensure quality completion of each task. This project was a high-visibility project for the City, and we are convinced that the project would not have gone as smoothly and achieved the success it did without MBP’s partnership with the City.”
