As the owner’s representative, MBP provided full-time, on-site construction management services including cost estimating, quality control, managing project documentation, change order cost analysis, CPM schedule review, and dispute resolution services. MBP was selected to provide fundamental commissioning services as the project pursued LEED certification. The project was a 102,000-square-foot facility with a grand ballroom, an exhibit hall, offices and meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen, and an adjoining 592-space pre-cast parking structure. The facility, which hosts numerous events simultaneously requiring various needs of occupancy comfort, includes large open spaces with high ceilings involving multiple complex mechanical systems and fabric ductwork. Expertise in the commissioning of complex systems was vital particularly in the grand ballroom which is used as either a single large room or up to six rooms utilizing operable partitions. The center also features a commercial kitchen in which the systems were balanced and tested to meet both the supply air as well as the exhaust requirements. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.
“Thanks for everything that the MBP team did on this project. It is inconceivable to me that we could have accomplished what we did without MBP as a part of the project. Many, many thanks to all.”
