MBP provided commissioning services in accordance with ASHRAE Guidelines and the Building Commissioning Association Handbook. The project involved the construction of a new, approximately 315,000-square-foot high school. Included in the program were educational classrooms, administrative spaces, dining commons, an auditorium and theater, functional trade labs, scientific research labs, a greenhouse, and medical/veterinary training areas. Opening in the fall of 2018, this facility will serve as the premier science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) educational facility for Loudoun County Public Schools, accomplishing its mission to empower students to explore, research, collaborate, innovate, and to make meaningful contributions to the world.
“MBP has provided services that meet and go beyond our expectations. This has resulted in lower change orders during construction and improvement in the functioning of building systems, increased occupant comfort, higher productivity by our staff members, lower energy usage, and improved training of maintenance staff resulting in better understanding of the operation and maintenance of the building systems.”
