MBP assisted Virginia State University (VSU) with delivering this high profile, state-of-the-art project by providing design and construction project management and clerk of the works/inspection services. This new 165,000-square-foot multi-purpose center is the new home for VSU’s men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams, and consists of a sports and events arena that seats 5,200 for sporting events and 6,200 for events. The center also contains a two-level arena entry lobby, classrooms and offices, conference rooms, fitness and wellness center, practice facility, press and broadcasting areas, and a full-service kitchen able to accommodate a 900-person banquet.
