As MBP’s Higher Education Solutions Leader, Bill Grip is responsible for identifying and developing relationships to expand MBP’s portfolio in the Higher Education Market. He is a retired Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer with more than 40 years of experience directing complex engineering and construction programs in organizations from 5 to 1100, with budgets measuring hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions and programs supported at the individual project level up to $9 billion to build a new U.S. Marine Corps base. He is an innovative leader who has routinely improved safety, financial management, staffing, and facility engineering. Bill is skilled at incorporating the intricacies of historic preservation into all levels of projects and is an acquisition professional responsible for project and program execution, ranging from simple maintenance projects to large-scale recapitalization initiatives.

Over the course of his career, Bill has managed various design, construction, operations and maintenance contracts in positions at Oregon State University and The Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, NJ, as well as for a broad spectrum of Federal clients.  A 40-year member of the Society of American Military Engineers, he has served in various local and national positions, was selected for Fellows status in 2012, and currently serves on the Academy of Fellows Executive Committee as the Vice Chair for Post Outreach and Communications.
