Kevin Lucas has 19 years of experience in the construction industry, including more than five years of VDOT project inspection experience, two years of NCDOT construction experience, and six years of materials testing of heavy/highway and building projects. His diverse background spans various areas of construction such as roadway and drainage work, reinforced concrete structures, and bridge construction. In his role as Construction Inspector, he has been responsible for performing and auditing VDOT’s design-build and locally administered programs and the IA/IV/QA/QC program requirements, applying the complex requirements to various contract structures. His expertise in roadway and drainage work includes mass grading, deep drainage, box culverts, stormwater management structures, underdrains, soil cement, and surface asphalt and pavement markings. In his capacity, Kevin enforces erosion and sediment control requirements effectively and understands the importance of a complete set of SWPPP and permit documents.
